This course is given as a dynamic one-day workshop covering key concepts supporting the implementation of a highly effective Problem Management practice. The course provides candidates with best-practice guidance at both strategic and operational levels.

The workshop is intended for practitioners, practice owners and managers involved in the implementation and optimization of the Problem Management practice. At the end of the course, participants will take a 30-minute exam containing multiple-choice questions in order to obtain the international AXELOS/PeopleCert ITIL® 4 Problem Management certificate in IT service management.

ITIL® version: This course is based on the ITIL® 4 version.

The course, course materials and exam are in English.

Course duration

1 day of learning, including the final exam (scheduled later by the candidate).

Prerequisite

ITIL® 4 Foundation certification.

Course structure

This course comprises a series of interactive presentations supplemented by classroom-style discussions and other exercises resembling the exam.

  • The roles and competences of the practice
  • How information and technology support and enable the practice
  • The role of partners and suppliers in the practice
  • How the ITIL capability model can be used to develop the practice

  • Exercises to define key elements supporting a highly effective Problem Management practice

Course objectives

In one day, participants will acquire the knowledge and skills required to:

  • Understand the key concepts supporting the Problem Management practice.
  • Describe the processes that are part of the practice, the supporting roles and the Practice Success Factors.
  • Identify how the Problem Management practice relies on specific elements from all four ITSM dimensions.
  • Understand how to assess the maturity and capabilities of the Problem Management practice.
  • Take the AXELOS/PeopleCert ITIL® 4 Problem Management exam with confidence by applying their newly acquired knowledge.
  • Put the ITIL® principles into practical use.

Exam

The official AXELOS/PeopleCert ITIL® 4 Problem Management exam and the official ITIL® 4 Problem Management Practice document are included.

The participant will receive a voucher valid for 12 months to write the exam and will need to schedule the exam date. The certification exam is written electronically following the training and requires access to a connected computer with active audio and video.

Format: 20 multiple-choice questions
Duration: 30 minutes.

It is recommended to take this training with an accredited organization using accredited training material.
